This is a beautiful campground. Twice I went to the office to purchase ice, wood, etc and both times they were closed and out on the grounds somewhere but… read more it looked like they were well stocked. The river and walking path runs along the park and the bathrooms/showers are updated and nice. Tried to shower in the morning and the water was ice cold so that didn’t happen. The sites had electric, water, sewer so that was good.

Whispering River Resort was our maiden travel trailer destination. We purchased a new to us toy hauler, with a destination of the Smokies and motorcycle riding. After researching on the… read more internet we reached out to Whispering River and booked our stay. They asked questions on our trailer of length, slide out, toy hauler etc and picked out an excellent spot for us, easy park and set up.We had an excellent experience for our first ever RV/travel trailer trip. We were there in early December for a week. Very friendly and helpful staff, easily apparent they take great pride in their very clean and well-kept resort all around (grounds, bathrooms, laundry, office etc). They are located in a very beautiful area and close to many of the motorcycle rides we had planned such as the famous Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway along. The whole area is beautiful. Near many other fun things to do such as hiking trails, water falls, tourist hot spots such as Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. When we are in the area again we will be reaching out to Whispering River. P.S. just be sure to look at your gps route and choose wisely pulling driving an RV/trailer. Google maps would take us on some very fun back roads while on a motorcycle but very tight and twisty to be pulling a travel trailer through. Some roads in the area are signed no trailers. Making sure on major roads such as 321 that they are just off of with the RV and then go explore those awesome roads with jaw dropping views.
