Whispering River Resort is nestled between two mountains on The Little River in Walland, TN. Located within minutes of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and just a short distance from Maryville, TN, and Townsend, TN, Walland is a convenient and quiet place to relax any time of the year. Our resort is within a short drive to most attractions in the East TN region, including Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Tail of the dragon, Tuckaleechee caverns, Cades Cove, and downtown Knoxville.

Would highly recommend Whispering River when visiting the Smoky Mountains. Close enough to all the tourist attractions but far enough away to not be affected by the hustle and bustle

Not… read more a Verizon Friendly area (1 bar if you’re lucky), Bought AT&T Sim with full bars of service (Needed for faster data to work). Beleive it is a T-Mobile friendly area too. Dog Park, Laundry. Sell propane on site and firewood. Peaceful and relaxing with great mountain views.

					Our stay was mostly quiet except for our neighbors barking dogs from time to time. The staff here are very kind and friendly! The campers, at least at the time… read more of our stay were the most unfriendly campers we’ve come across in 5 years. Not that, that reflects on the campground itself. It doesn’t. Just a statement. We will stay again when back in town for the Smokey Mountain Classic. The view of the Smokey Mountains around us at the campground was a beautiful thing to wake up too!

					We camped in our 5th wheel….it is a beautiful place alongside a creek between 2 mountains ….beautiful in the springtime….the cabins would be nice too!

					Clean. Beautiful. Wifi. Cable. No long term trailer trash. Clean. This park knows how to 2018.

2020 update. Only recommendation is possibly some adult pool hours like some other resorts implement.

					Whispering River was a great stay for my family. The pool was refreshing on some hot days! It was quiet and peaceful.  I would recommend it for anyone visiting… read more the Smokies, Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge.
